Anna McDermott is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Melbourne. She completed a BFA (Honours) at RMIT University in 2016 and was an Artist in Residence at Takt AIR Berlin, Germany in 2017. Her work has formed as an ongoing inquiry into what it means to exist within the context of the human body; in its every motion and gesture through time. Through performative photography, video and sculptural installation her practice explores our malleability as subjects in the world; highlighting the ephemeral and fleeting nature of one’s phenomenological experience.
