Anna Pogossova is a photomedia artist and sculptor born in Moscow, Russia, who currently lives and works in Sydney, Australia. Her work is concerned with the logic and semiotics of the otherworldly, as represented in popular fiction. Her practice explores how cultural references and cinematic tropes can authorise belief, and trigger interpretations and habituated ways of seeing. .Pogossova holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from College of Fine Arts.
