Bronte Stolz is a visual artist operating predominantly within painting and sculpture. His work revolves around the semiotics of luxury, using discernible imagery from advertising. Re-contextualising symbols of excess, he examines unconscious drives behind consumption and their relationship with the cultural coding of Western consumerist society.
He completed his bachelor degree in fine arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2018. Notable exhibitions include ‘Introspection’ at Spazio Ponte, Venice, Italy (2014) and ‘Brain Milk’ at Floating Goose Studios, Adelaide, Australia (2015). Stolz was a finalist in the 2018 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award.
