Latifa Elmrini is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and researcher.
Latifa practices interrogations on cultural stereotyping, racism and islamophobia. Latifa’s research centres on historic memory through the analysis of patterns in language, images and archival texts. She is interested in the role that storytelling can play in the reversal of the Orientalized, colonial and imperialistic gaze by the reclaiming of ownership by groups and minorities that have historically been cast out as Other.
