Orson Heidrich is a mixed media artist living and working in Sydney / Eora. His practice spans photography and the moving image, as well as industrial sculpture and technical installation. Each facet draws upon his research into the matrices of imaging practice, both social and spatial. His work explores the relationship between artist and industry through the sourcing, fabrication and manipulation of physical and digital media. Heidrich holds a Bachelor of Arts of Design in Photography and Situated Media from University of Technology Sydney. He has received international scholarships and residencies and exhibited throughout Australia, including at Yavuz Gallery, UTS Photography, Tributary Projects, Cool Change, and AIRspace Projects. His work is held in public and private collections in both Australia and South Africa.
