FLASHnight: A Sort of Blue

Marcel Feillafé
Nikki Lam
Siying Zhou

All Spaces
27 May 2019–27 May 2019
Opening 6pm Monday May 27th

A Sort of Blue is an audio-visual dialogue between three artists: Marcel Feillafé, Nikki Lam and Siying Zhou. The live performance is in three acts, with each act focusing on a theme related to their past, present and future. From pop culture to family recipes, historical moments to personal disasters, the artists will respond to each other using video, sound, and some karaoke.

  • Marcel Feillafé is a Melbourne based artist working across sound, drawing, photography, and Installation. His work has an ontological focus, specifically through the exploration of arts ability to describe, transform and transport.
  • Nikki Lam is a Birraranga/Melbourne-based artist, curator and producer. Working primarily with moving images, performance and installation, her work explores hybrid identities often through studies of rituals, language and representations, as well as the ephemeral medium of video.
  • Siying Zhou is a Melbourne-based visual artist. Her artworks, which embody her interests in food, cultural difference and cultural identity of immigrants, have been exhibited in Australia and internationally.
