‘The performance of the self is just as coded, ‘theatrical’ and ‘artistic’ in ordinary life as it is in fine art’
–       Rosinger Y.”

Yuval has always been afraid of answering the phone. Yuval has always been afraid of theatrically performing his self. Yuval has always been afraid to claim authorship over his practice. Yuval has always been afraid that he is complicit with a social script. Yuval has always been afraid that a metaphor is much more than a linguistic device. Yuval has always been afraid his words are not his own.

  • Yuval Rosinger orchestrates minimal gestures, touching lightly on the weight of responsibility associated with articulation, and the anxieties of situating art in the world. He crafts mildly absurd installations, often through a nostalgic lens. He fixates on a sort of childish play wherein the authority in his art practice is challenged, and an audience is invited to question their own authorship and agency in the cultural exchange.
