Spencer Harvie

Spencer Harvie, a multidisciplinary artist based in Meanjin, creates works that blend elements of pop culture, surrealism, and conceptual art. His focus is on creating imagery that reflects the chaos and disorientation of an information-overloaded world. Harvie has exhibited nationally in solo and collaborative shows since 2016, with notable exhibitions such as “Dungeon Master” at Metro Arts in 2022, which featured large drawings exploring fantasy illustration’s unsettling quality, and “Zonwee: The Last Known Recording of a Daydream” (2019) at Boxcopy and Milani gallery in collaboration with artist James Barth. Harvie’s work has also been featured in national prizes and is held in private collections. He currently teaches at the Queensland College of Art, where he earned his Doctorate of Visual Art in 2021.
