sick leave is night of poetry readings, featuring: Elena Gomez, Alex Griffin, Harry Reid, Melody Paloma and Ursula Robinson Shaw.

Poetry has been called many things— let’s say here it’s fun. Please join us for a night of readings that contain joy in their makings.

Elena Gomez is a poet and book editor living in Melbourne. Alex Griffin is a poet and researcher. Harry Reid is a poet living in the western suburbs. Their work has appeared in Cordite and they received a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship for 2018. Ursula Robinson-Shaw is a writer from Wellington, New Zealand, currently living in Melbourne. Her work has appeared in Minarets, Cordite and Overland. Melody Paloma is a poet and critic. Her debut collection, In Some Ways Dingo, was published as part of the Rabbit Poets Series. Melody works for Australian Poetry in their young poet’s programs.
