FLASHnight: She is in it not not at all.

Remie Cibis

04 March 2019–04 March 2019

Fashion images circulate; are shared and liked, sent and received, made and re-made. Made as clothes, and again as images.

‘She is in it not not at all.’ is a runway performance, presenting a series of garments designed from images and as images. Clothes flattened and compressed against the body, or else distorted and deformed by it. The collection employs flat pattern cutting techniques, in conjunction with textile prints and live performance, to explore the effect of screens, magazines and photography on how we experience fashion, clothing and the body.

Designed and choreographed by Remie Cibis, this event is hosted by KINGS Artist-Run, as part of the 2019 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
