Archiving the Present is an Australian community-led collective that documents and preserves contemporary Central American diasporic experiences. The project focuses on creative memory practices, offering a decolonial alternative to traditional archives. Through exhibitions, workshops, and digital platforms, the collective invites Central American communities to share photographs, stories, and artefacts that reflect migration, displacement, and everyday life. The collective emphasizes relational engagement, intergenerational memory, and embodied practices, foregrounding participatory methods that honour lived experience.
