Madi Sherburn (they/them) is an artist, curator, photographer, and educator. Their practice is permeable and multi-layered – exploring the slippages of authorship, semiotics and site through an expanded photographic approach. This work flows alongside their responsibilities as a chronically-online creative and arts worker. With their extensive experience in the arts and cultural sector, Madeleine’s industry insight is an open repository for anyone waiting to ask; as archives and anarchiving go hand-in-hand with creative processes. Currently, Madeleine is researching how small arts organisations, such as ARIs, can develop more sustainable operational models, and whether these developments can foster deeper community connection and engagement within the arts and public space.
