No mans land

Estelle Joannou

08 March 2013–30 March 2013

No mans Land‚ is a photographic survey documenting the United Nations buffer zone, a restricted inaccessible suspended space, which exists between two separate thriving communities left for decades to decay. These images examine the ramifications of unresolved conflict, exploring the relationship between individuals and the environment in which they inhabit. Every minuscule detail becomes a visual clue, connecting a space and its objects with the possible characters that once occupied it.
