As part of KINGS Artist Run’s Limitless City: Abstraction, Materiality and Authenticity, we are proud to present The Art Fair Murders. This is the latest ‘chapter’ in Dr. Peter Hill’s ongoing Superfiction of the same title. The project is part installation, part-novel, part website. Hill poses the questions: How do we know what is true and false in any visual statement? And can the inauthentic better describe contemporaneity? His final novel, will be presented as a sculptural piece in the gallery along with other works. Hill’s ‘Chapters’ have never appeared in Melbourne, but have been shown internationally and at the MCA (Sydney).
CONVERSATION: Join us for an informal discussion and artist talk on Thursday 18 September, 6pm. As part of Abstraction, Materiality and Authenticity KINGS Artist Run will be hosting after work drinks and dialogue on the last Thursday of each of the curated exhibitions in this series.
Kings Artist Run proudly presents Superfictions 1: The Art Fair Murders as part of our 2014 Limitless City Festival of Abstraction, Materiality and Authenticity.
